Get answers to common questions about Eyelash Tinting.
Tint longevity varies by individual, typically lasting four to six weeks depending on your lash growth cycle and aftercare. Avoid oil-based cleansers and heavy rubbing to prolong color. We recommend touch-ups every 4–6 weeks to maintain consistent definition.
We perform a patch test and thorough consultation for sensitivities before tinting. We use professional, ophthalmologist-tested dyes and protective techniques. Clients with severe allergies or active eye infections may be advised against tinting and should consult their physician.
We do not tint synthetic extensions because dye won’t adhere properly and could damage extensions. You can tint natural lashes before application or remove extensions if you prefer tinting alone. Discuss timing with your technician for best results.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and remove contact lenses before your appointment. Avoid oil-based products for 24 hours and disclose allergies or recent eye procedures. A patch test may be required 24–48 hours before your service for safety.
Tinting simply colors natural lashes for increased visibility without changing shape. A lash lift curls and lifts lashes for openness, while extensions attach synthetic fibers to add length and volume. Choose based on whether you want color, curl, or fullness.
Wait at least 24–48 hours before applying mascara or heavy eye products to allow the dye to fully set and avoid irritation. Use water-based mascaras and gentle removers afterward to protect the tint and maintain lash health.
