Get answers to common questions about Chest.
Most clients see regrowth in three to six weeks, depending on hair cycle and thickness. Regular maintenance every four to six weeks keeps results consistent. Individual factors like hormones and exfoliation frequency affect timing.
Some discomfort is normal but brief. We use gentle waxes, expert technique, and soothing pre/post care to minimize sensation. Avoid caffeine, ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long, or take an over-the-counter pain reliever if needed.
Before your appointment, gently exfoliate a few days prior and avoid moisturizers on the day of waxing. Hair should be about a quarter-inch long for best results. Avoid tanning and retinoids several days before to reduce sensitivity.
Keep the area clean and avoid hot showers, saunas, or heavy exercise for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing aloe or antibacterial gel as recommended, wear loose clothing, and begin gentle exfoliation after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
Waxing can cause ingrown hairs, especially for curly or coarse hair. Prevent them by exfoliating regularly, using salicylic acid products, moisturizing, and scheduling consistent waxes. If ingrowns persist, we can provide in-salon extraction and targeted treatments.
Avoid waxing if you’re on isotretinoin, have open wounds, severe sunburn, active skin infections, or recent chemical peels. People on blood thinners or with certain medical conditions should consult their physician before waxing.
