For best results hair should be about 1/4-1/2 inch (6-12 mm). That length allows the wax to grip properly. If hair is too short waxing may not remove it, and if too long we may trim slightly before service.
We use gentle waxes, calming pre- and post-care, and experienced technicians to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe brief discomfort that subsides quickly. We can adjust technique and offer numbing or sensitive-options when needed.
Most clients enjoy smooth arms for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles and aftercare. Regular appointments can lead to finer, sparser regrowth, often extending time between sessions.
We advise against waxing sunburned or freshly tanned skin because it increases irritation and risk of lifting pigment. Wait until skin is fully healed, typically at least 48-72 hours for light sun exposure, longer for burns or deep tans.
Exfoliate gently 48 hours before, avoid moisturizers on the treatment area the day of, and ensure hair is the recommended length. Arrive with clean, dry skin. Inform us of medications or skin conditions that may affect treatment.
Avoid heat, heavy sweating, and exfoliation for 24-48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free soothing lotions or aloe vera to calm skin. Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning products immediately after waxing; if irritation occurs, contact us for tailored advice.
